Collecting Debug Logs


Client logs

To collect client debug logs, please follow these steps:

  1. Login to your Management Server
  2. Open Settings -> Logging
  3. Turn on logs on all related client computers
  4. Ask your users to reproduce the issue
  5. Choose all related client computers, click the "Fetch" button to retrieve log files to Management Server.
  6. As soon as all logs are retrieved (status changes to "Ready for downloading") click the "Download logs" button. Default logs location is:
    - Windows: C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\sync-it-server\data\client-logs
    - Linux: get logs in ${sync_it_server_dir}/var/data/client-logs folder.

Server logs

Server logs location can be configured in server config, although default locations are:

- Windows: C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\sync-it-server\data\*.log

- Linux: ${sync_it_server_dir}/var/data/*.log
